Job Summary:
The Department of Surgery, Section of Vascular Surgery at Westchester Medical Center (WMC) has an immediate opening for a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible vascular surgeon.
Summary:
The new candidate will be joining a well-established Academic Vascular Practice that has been present in the area for over 30 years. This full-time hospital-employed position is exclusively vascular and centered at the WMC Valhalla Campus, with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. WMC is a busy, tertiary academic center that enjoys the support of an ACGME accredited General Surgery residency and an accredited Vascular fellowship. We have unrestricted access to a hybrid operating room, multiple catheterization labs, an established IAC accredited noninvasive vascular lab and our service includes an outpatient vein practice.
Experience:
The successful candidate will be a board-eligible or board-accredited vascular surgeon, recently graduated or with several years' experience in open and endovascular procedures. A strong desire for excellence in clinical care and patient experience is a must. This is a hospital-employed position in a rapidly expanding multispecialty medical system that includes cardiothoracic, multi-organ transplant and trauma surgical services.
Other:
The clinical responsibilities are shared with four other vascular surgeons. Academic appointments commensurate with experience and qualifications are made through our affiliation with New York Medical College.
