Anesthesiologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Mason City, Iowa

A hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
Mason City, Iowa, offers award-winning attractions, one-of-a-kind shops, eateries, and fabulous shopping all blended with rich history and stunning architecture.
The schedule is M-W-F from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and T-Th from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the expectation to stay later if needed for non-cardiac cases or if a cardiac case runs long. The role supports a growing hospital-based cardiac surgery program at a Level II Trauma Center. On rare occasions, the provider may need to oversee CRNAs at the ASC if no cardiac cases are scheduled and a physician is needed there. The EMR is currently Cerner with some paper documentation, transitioning to Epic. The provider can expect about one cardiac surgery per day (though not daily) and 57 general cases per day, and will help cover general cases when no cardiac cases are scheduled. Visa candidates are not accepted. Estimated credentialing takes 812 weeks.
