Job Overview
The primary task of an Associate Site Manager is to work with the Site Manager to lead the clinical team in the most efficient manner possible, maintain an acceptable level of proficiency and productivity, and manage the day-to-day operations of the site.
Essential Functions
• Assist in the management, development, and mentoring of clinical site team members to develop their skills to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved.. Be an advocate for individual career development.
• Contribute viable strategies for study conduct during PSSVs, Investigator meetings, Site Initiation Visits, and Interim Monitoring Visits
• Assist the Site Manager in identifying quality risks and issues
• Ensure that staff have the proper materials, systems access, and training to complete job responsibilities. Provide oversight for the execution of the training plan and mentored training experiences.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of required information on company systems.
• Respond to any developing situations appropriately and expeditiously
• Work directly with the team in recruiting, prescreening, screening, and performing follow-up visits according to the guidelines laid forth in the study protocols.
• Assist the Site Manager in creating and cunducting proactive and professional communication between on/off-site Investigators, Sponsors, staff, study volunteers, Monitors, IRB's (Investigational Review Board) and vendors, as applicable, in all areas of study execution.
• Assist with the management of staff in accordance with organization's policies and applicable regulations. This may include planning, assigning, and directing work; gathering feedback for appraising performance, guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree health care or other scientific discipline or educational equivalent.
• OR High School Diploma and 5+ years relatable experience may be substituted for educational requirement
• Broad understanding of operational processes at research sites.
• Knowledge and ability to apply GCP/ICH/applicable guidelines
• Excellent/Proven management and communication skills (written and verbal), ability to present to senior management
• Fluent English language skills, written and spoken
• Ability to translate company strategy into motivational local practices
• Ability to coach/mentor and develop staff
• Prior supervisory experience a plus
• Ability to plan and meet project objectives/conflicting priorities
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
