Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor

The Clinical Supervisor is a core member of the behavioral health leadership team and works collaboratively with medical group practice management and Chief of Psychiatry to develop integrated mental health services within primary care settings. The Supervisor is responsible for supervising and evaluating the delivery of services provided by Social Workers and other clinical staff providing services, ensuring that therapeutic services and support are provided to patients and family members in a timely and effective manner and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, rules, regulations, and prevailing law. The Supervisor maintains effective relationships with outside community agencies to support cross-referral of patients.
The Clinical Supervisor will also provide direct clinical services.in one or more of the Saratoga Medical Group Primary Care locations.

- Supervision: Provides supervision and evaluation of Social Work and other clinical staff.
- Program Development: Assists in the development and implementation of therapy services and group programs, as clinically indicated. Ensures that services are based on evidence-based models of care. Continuously monitors programs to ensure effectiveness and adherence to best practices.
- Staffing: Leads the hiring, selection, training, evaluation and management of Social Workers or other Behavioral Health Clinicians. Provides ongoing feedback to staff concerning their performance and initiates corrective action as needed and per human resource policy, in collaboration with practice leadership. Ensures performance evaluations are thorough and completed in a timely manner. Promotes growth and development in self and others. Develops and documents orientation and ongoing training programs for departmental personnel. Effectively uses KRONOS time and attendance system. Effectively interprets and implements Human Resource policies in consultation with Human Resources as necessary.
- Leadership: Participates as a member of the behavioral health leadership team. Collaborates with Medical Group leadership, partnering with Psychiatry to ensure integrated care meets community needs.
- Assessments: Completes Psychosocial Assessments and other appropriate screenings/evaluations. Provides direct psychotherapy and collaborative care services.
- Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Participates in the development of the treatment plan as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. Provides consultative services to providers and other members of the staff. Maintains open communication of patient progress and participation to the treatment team.
- Community Resources and Relationship Management: Establishes and maintains effective network of community resources for cross-referral of patients. Develops and maintains a current resource directory for a wide range of support services to complement and support care. Establishes/maintains positive, ongoing working relationships with other community agencies.

- Social Workers and other clinical staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Training & Experience
- LCSW required.
- Minimum five year's experience in medical social work in an ambulatory and/or inpatient setting with at-risk patients required.
- Knowledge of available community resources and the ability to evaluate resources and make appropriate referrals.
- Knowledge of health-related financial assistance, including Medicare and Medicaid.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
Certifications / Licensure
- Current license as a New York State certified social worker.

Salary Range: $38.70-$63.54
Pay Grade: 37
