Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant is an important member of the health care team. Often one of the first to meet the resident and resident's family; must be skilled in communication and public relations. The CNA assists professional nursing personnel with routine duties by performing basic patient care procedures. Participate in receiving and providing a resident status report at the change of shifts. Assist residents with daily personal hygiene activities, (bathing, mouth care, dressing/undressing, hair and nail care). Assist with turning, lifting, positioning and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, spa tub, wheelchairs, and lifts. Answer residents' call lights promptly. Observe and report changes in residents' condition to nurse. Complete daily documentation using CareTracker.
Minimum Education/License/Certification Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant current certificate required.
- CNA experience in another health care facility preferred but will provide on the job training.
