Join our team, as an entry level Staff Civil/Environmental Engineer 1. As a civil/environmental engineer you will bring your expertise and unique solutions to highly visible and challenging projects. Work will focus in the dynamic and ground-breaking practice supporting site remediation, stream restoration, mining, and site closure design and implementation. Our mid-sized group allows entry-level candidates immediate heightened responsibilities, and an open-door policy encourages 1:1 access to some of the best and most experienced designers and engineering professionals in the region. This is a full-time position in our Helena, MT office.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
- Perform engineering analyses
- Develop engineering reports
- Apply practical civil and environmental engineering principles to design
- Support field investigation and characterization programs.
- Provide support to construction implementation.
- Support client meetings, presentations and work scope development.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- EIT license preferred with the ability to obtain your PE
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Team attitude and the ability to interact well with internal staff, and project teams that will include other consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Capability in slope stability analysis, including limit equilibrium, static liquefaction and seismic
- Basic usage ability of AutoCAD. Civil3D is a strong benefit and GIS experience is a plus.
- Experience on construction sites and field explorations preferred
- Ability to travel to temporary assignments mainly across the western U.S., as necessary.
- Preferred location is in Helena, MT but staff will support offices throughout the rocky mountain region.
