Clinical Laboratory Assistant PRN

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Receives and accurately accessions and prepares all cytology specimens for the microscopic diagnosis of normal and abnormal tissue. Assists in maintaining inventory of required supplies. Assists in training cytotechnology students in processing techniques. Performs and maintains records of quality control procedures and preventive maintenance. Assists with clerical work when required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required and one year of laboratory experience preferred; or Military Laboratory Training: (Phase I -Air Force or Basic-Army).Experience in Histology or Cytology is preferred
