Clinical Research Coordinator I

Job Description

The Clinical Research Coordinator I is part of an integral and collaborative research team. This position coordinates clinical trials within the Neuroscience Research Center at the Neuroscience Center and/or Struthers Parkinson's Center. The Center oversees all research activities within Neuroscience Research at the Neuroscience Research Center, Struthers Parkinson's Center, Regions Hospital, and Methodist Hospital. We are looking for a motivated energetic individual who approaches work from a patient centered perspective and has passion around finding new treatments for disease affecting the brain and spine.

In partnership with the research manager and director, this individual will:

  • Assist in clinical trial implementation.
  • Oversee subject identification, recruitment and enrollment, data collection, and regulatory file management.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clinical staff, as well as applicable regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in data analysis, and manuscript preparation and submission as needed.
  • Completes tasks as assigned by Clinical Research Manager and Neuroscience Research Director.

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare, medical or science related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in a health care or academic setting


Preferred Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

Clinical research experience in a clinical, academic or industry setting preferred.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

Current licensure as a health care provider and CCRC certification (SoCRA or ACRP) desired but not essential.
