BPN Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a CVICU RN to fulfill a 13-week contract at a facility in the Portsmouth, VA. area.

Position Details:
CVT ICU
12 HR  - Night shift (7p-7a); every other weekend and every other holiday
At least 1 year of experience in cardiac surgery

No locals accepted (locals are considered to be 50 miles away from the facility)
Dysrhythmia required (study guide available) 

Must Have BLS & ACLS 

manager wants to interview after clinical - (this may delay an offer up to at least 24 hours)

Unit Specific Details

5 bed ICU
Must be able to recover fresh hearts (will recover, extubate, pull chest tubes) 
Patients sitting up by the next morning
Patient population is pretty stable will stay on the unit for the entirety of their stay (generally 4-5 days)

Vasopressors, blood, sedation, paralytics 

CVLs, temporary HD caths, Swan catheters, Impella, balloon pump, CRRT

Ventilator, BiPap

Support staff is RT,  2-3 nurses on unit

Need to be very independent and confident with taking fresh post op CABG, AVR/MVR
Balloon pump and Impella - are rare, but ratio is 1:1
Generally, no ECMOs, but will be 1:1 with a perfusionist.

Weekly Gross: $2,700-2,880
