Dental Assistant - Fort Liberty
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at Fort Liberty, supporting the dental care needs of active-duty military personnel. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, cleanings, and other treatments.
- Prepare patients for dental procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Take and develop dental x-rays, as needed, and maintain patient records.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care practices.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as inventory management and maintaining dental supplies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal dental assistant program preferred.
- Certification in Dental Assisting (CDA) and radiology certification is required.
- Six months of dental assisting experience within the past three years.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
- Ability to work well with patients, providing compassionate and efficient care.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to obtain a background check and meet military base security clearance requirements.
