Director, Business Development - Oncology

The Director, Business Development - Oncology in Cambridge, MA will, as a search and evaluation lead within the business development and licensing team, identify opportunities for partnerships and acquisitions that enable our company to build the strongest R&D pipeline in the industry.

Scope:

  • Oncology: contributing to our Company's therapeutic pipeline.
  • Discovery, Preclinical, and early Clinical.
  • Strategic partnership and acquisition opportunities, primarily with biopharmaceutical companies.
  • New England, USA and eastern Canada.



Responsibilities:

  • Find, evaluate, champion, and collaboratively bring to execution strategic business development opportunities.
  • Prioritize opportunities, together with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional due diligence.
  • Lead presentation of prioritized business opportunities to our Company's senior leadership.
  • Contribute to BD&L strategy.
  • Represent our company in the broader ecosystem.



Prior education, experience, and background:

  • PhD or MD required. Relevant discipline.
  • 10+ years relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant scientific fields and industry landscape.
  • Interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Business acumen.
  • Collaborative.
  • Organizational and operational professionalism.
