Compensation Range:
$98,422.00 - $137,791.00

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Provides patient care in collaboration with a member of medical staff. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) works in a collaborative relationship with a physician provider to oversee the care delivered to a patient population or program of services. The NP is responsible for direct patient care, documentation of care delivered, adherence to hospital and nursing policies, procedures and practice standards, education of patients and staff, assurance of service excellence, completion of state and hospital-required reviews of practice, and participation in performance improvement and other activities as required.

Join our dynamic Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, where you will provide comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. As a vital part of our team, you will evaluate and manage both acute and chronic GI diseases, conduct new and follow-up patient visits, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications. Your role will also involve educating patients and coordinating care.

We are looking for motivated candidates who thrive in a team-based, collaborative environment. Strong communication skills and confidence in making independent decisions regarding complex patient care are key. While experienced candidates are encouraged to apply, we also welcome applications from motivated new NP/PA graduates.

Mentorship and professional growth opportunities are available, with continuing education strongly encouraged. Applicants must be eligible for NP/PA certification in New York State.

Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner

  • Require a Master's degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.



Physician Assistant

  • Requires completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active/pending New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)



NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relations skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

Schedule: Full time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, daytime hours, 8- or 10-hour shifts
