Echo Technician - Cardiac Diagnostic Testing Center
SUMMARY:
Responsible and accountable for creating, implementing, and supporting the daily operations of Cardiac Diagnostic Center and working independently to adhere to Baxter Health's mission , vision and values.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Current Registry in Echocardiogram through ARDMS or CCI
Experience: Minimum one-year Echocardiogram scanning experience, clinical training will be considered. (A minimum of 200 cardiac ultrasound/doppler acquisition required to meet minimum requirements for echo responsibilities. Additional Cardiac Lab procedures would require 1-3 months additional training.)
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform all phases of cardiac echocardiography including 2-D imaging, M-Mode/measurements, standard doppler and color doppler.
Certification: BLS Certification
Other: Must be extremely detail oriented, organized and conscientious to ensure high quality work. Excellent time-management and follow-up skills to ensure work deadlines are met. Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Must be a positively contributing team player and possess willingness to be cross-trained in other functional areas. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with regard to employment data, HIPAA, and departmental operations.

Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity with or without correction. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
Work Environment
Cardiac Diagnostic Testing Center, patient areas. Possible exposure to body fluids including respiratory droplets, sputum, blood, etc. May be exposed to infectious airborne particulates before a patient is placed in isolation. Clinic setting, within a hospital environment.
