Position Overview:
Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional emergency care. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with a dedicated team of experienced clinicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff. Our Emergency Department (ED) manages a high volume of diverse cases, providing a rewarding and challenging practice setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including advanced practice providers, nurses, specialists, and hospitalists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the ED.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and technology to assess, diagnose, and treat patients effectively.
- Engage in teaching and mentoring opportunities with medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in an academic or community hospital setting is preferred but not required.
