Exercise Physiologist (Nuclear Medicine/West PRN)
Job Description
Develops and implements a physician ordered, individualized exercise and lifestyle modification program for the patient throughout the continuum of patient care. Administers diagnostic graded exercise testing, conducts screenings and assessments with emphasis on prepares safe, evidence based exercise prescriptions for all apparently healthy and chronic disease populations. Trains and demonstrates proper exercise techniques and equipment use to individual and defined groups. Documents patient progress through the program via physician audited care plans. Instructs patients in safe exercise routines. Aligns with interdisciplinary care team to provide best practice education to the patient and designated care givers on nutrition, risks factors and behavior modification strategies.
• American Associate of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehab CCRP certification preferred.
• Requires Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Relevant experience preferred. Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field required.
• Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field preferred.
