Experienced and Dedicated Physican Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
*Position Title*: Clinicians (MD, DO, PA-C, ARNP)
*Reports to*: Clinic Manager, Medical Director, COO
*Location*: Clinics in Richland and Pasco as assigned (in person)
*General Purpose: *The Provider/Clinician works closely with all clinic staff and management to provide quality care to patients in a positive work environment.
*Summary*: Provide compassionate and excellent patient care by planning and performing courteous, efficient, and accurate service. Examine and treat general as well as urgent care client base to ensure proper injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Prescribe and administer medication, perform routine vaccinations, and provide advice regarding personal health. Request necessary tests and follow-up visits. Refers patients to specialists as necessary. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures set forth by clients, the government, Medical Director, Management and Ownership. Interact with clients and staff from other clinical departments. Oversee patient flow and perform a variety of clerical duties.
*Job Duties:*
I. Patient Care
a. Assess patient needs within an urgent care setting which includes risk assessment, patient's level of comprehension, etc.
b. Triage patients to differentiate between immediate and less urgent care conditions.
c. Assess, plan, and treat.
d. Handle private, pre-employment, and workers' comp patients.
c. Ensure proper diagnosis, handling, and recovery.
f. Order labs, test, injections, referrals
g. Interpret labs, x-rays & ECGS.
h. Prescribe medications.
1. Perform minor surgical procedures.
J. Maintain CME credits to maintain license.
k: Consult with others on medical care of patients.
I. Take patient histories and vital signs as necessary.
m. Communicate patient needs, diagnosis, and course of treatment to the patient, company, as well as other clinical staff.
n. Create an individualized plan of patient's care based on physical, psychosocial and age specific assessment of the patient, as well as patient's input/history.
o. Delegate work appropriately to other caregivers and follow through to insure accuracy of delegated work.
p. Instruct and educate patients about discharge instructions if applicable.
q. Maintain quality assurance of charts and testing.
r. Handle telephone calls about services rendered from company accounts, patients, physicians, as well as other staff.
2. Clerical
a. Provide accurate and timely documentation to clinical staff, insurance carriers and companies.
b. Correspondence by phone, in person, or in writing with regard to patient and client care, i.e. insurance carriers, physicians, non-clinic physicians.
c. Maintain accurate patient records for clinical use, medical records, billing use, and physician’s review by marking charges on the self-pay bills as well as selecting proper codes and charges for claims submission.
Fill out Department of Transportation (DOT)exam forms, completing Return to Work (RTW) documents, etc.
d. Serve as a resource person for other clinical staff.
e. Help produce and maintain patient education instruction hand-outs.
3. Wear proper identification, badge, or other insignia as required.
4. All other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications:*
1. Degree in medicine from an accredited school and license to practice.
2. Successful completion of clinical affiliations.
3. Minimum two years of experience as a clinician, experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine facility preferred.
4. Advanced knowledge of medical terminology.
5. Knowledge of basic ER, internal medicine, generalist, occupational medicine, and family practice procedures.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively and courteously deal with telephone calls, patients and families, clients, co-workers, clinical staff and physicians.
7. Knowledge of computer function and basic office equipment.
8. Organizational and analytical skills necessary to maintain efficient workflow.
9. Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer patient care.
10. Ability to pay close attention to detail in all facets of the position.
11. Ability to adjust responsibilities to accommodate a fast-paced work environment while maintaining excellent customer service and staff interactions.
12. Ability to use necessary equipment such as the nebulizer, EKG machine, etc.
13. Skill in identifying problems, researching, and recommending solutions.
14. Responsible for personal action; take positive action upon feedback from others.
15. Ability to maintain HIPAA confidentiality of sensitive information.
*Schedule:*
* 8, 10, or 12-hour shift
* Variable shifts
* Holidays as needed
* Monday to Friday
* Weekend availability
*Compensation:*
· Hourly rate to be determined, based on experience.
· PA/NP: $78 - $91 per hour = Base pay plus productivity bonus (range is based on productivity)
· Sick leave available to part time employees.

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
