Field Vice President, Specialty Business Unit

Location: Field-Based (Northeast - New Jersey up to Maine)

Within the Specialty Business Unit (SBU), our priority is to deliver on our pipeline and expand it. To be successful, we need to deliver with our in-line brand and indications and prepare for upcoming launches, including the COPD indication in 1H 2025 and potential dual indication launch in 2025. This is an exciting time for the Specialty business in the US as we invest in expanding our teams. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

In addition to building, coaching, and inspiring a high-performing Specialty Nucala sales team, you will be accountable for:

  • Accelerating growth with in-line brand(s) and leading successful launches of new GSK Specialty assets for optimal sales growth.
  • Providing leadership, coaching, in-field support, and operational direction to a team of Regional Sales Directors.
  • Developing and executing a cross-functional business plan aligned with brand strategy and tactical objectives.
  • Leading and collaborating across matrix partners (brand, medical, patient services, market access, tech, legal, compliance, etc.) to drive collaborative impact.
  • Driving organizational change and galvanizing teams to accelerate the change management curve to achieve business objectives.
  • Defining, refining, and executing strategic direction, advocating/influencing resource allocation to meet local market needs.
  • Attracting, recruiting, and retaining high-caliber team members, providing management and leadership to direct and indirect reports, including coaching and career development.
  • Driving a culture of sales excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Adapting to the changing pharmaceutical landscape and integrating new capabilities (e.g., AI integration).


Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 11+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical or specialty management experience
  • Experience across a minimum of 2 commercial functions (sales, market access, training, operations, and marketing)
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Ability to travel domestically, including overnight travel


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advance degree
  • Product launch experience
  • 3+ years of experience in specialty business, infusion, buy & bill
  • 2+ years in a management/staff/headquarters position
  • Experience developing, implementing, and measuring success with accounts and formulary decisions
  • Well-developed financial and commercial acumen
  • Superior motivator, communicator, team builder, and leader
  • Virtual sales experience
  • Proven track record of leading and launching products across various disease states and stakeholders
  • Strong influencer and collaborator with a demonstrated track record of leading in a matrix environment
  • Ability to translate market insights into competitive opportunities to grow the business
  • High sense of urgency and effective decision-making
  • Proven developer of people and organizations, with strong motivational and leadership skills
  • Strong executive-level communication skills
  • Solution-oriented with a track record of consistent high performance

The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $238,000 to $322,000 taking into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
