General Surgeon Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Eastern North Carolina

A health system is seeking a General Surgeon for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in eastern North Carolina.
This is an inpatient-only position with call duties, including nights and weekends, though providers are not required to remain on-site while on call. Each provider typically sees 7-8 patients per day, with an average of 1-2 admissions during both day and night shifts. The role involves approximately 50 surgical cases per month and does not require responding to codes or serving as backup in the ER. Required procedures include appendectomies, strangulated hernia repairs, cholecystectomies, I&Ds, and other emergency procedures.
