GYN Oncologist

  • Position Summary

    • The GYN Oncologist is responsible for comprehensive care of patients with gynecologic cancers and general gynecologic diseases to include consultation, outpatient assessments and follow up, inpatient care and major operative procedures across primary, secondary and tertiary markets. Other duties include participation in clinical trials both pharmaceutical and cooperative trials through GA NCORP, ordering chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy and participate in teaching and mentorship for medical students.
  • Education

    • Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited medical school - Required
    • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology- Required
    • Fellowship trained in Gynecologic Oncology from an accredited program - Required
  • Experience

    • 2-4 Years GYN Oncology with robotic surgery experience - Preferred
  • License & Certification

    • Professional License in State of Practice - Required
  • Core Job Functions

    • Provide multidisciplinary care for patients with all aspects of gynecologic malignancies and general gynecologic diseases
    • Provide consultation and surgical support to other services include general OB/GYN and other surgical specialties
    • Share after-hours and weekend on-call coverage for gynecologic oncology service
    • Conduct or participate in clinical trials
