The Position

Novo Nordisk in West Lebanon, New Hampshire continues to grow! The Human Resources Business Partner is a key role to ensuring business success through coaching and guidance in senior leadership areas and linking people strategy & performance, driving HR programs, & coaching people managers. As a valued team member the HRBP responsibilities include fostering positive culture and employee engagement, workforce development programs, advising people managers and employees on interpretation of companywide policies, employee relations, leader and employee development initiatives, and Novo Nordisk Way (NNWay) Champion.

Essential Functions

  • Function as a trusted advisor to area people managers in coaching them on employee relations matters and performance management
  • Coaching people managers for quality & execution timeliness for HR processes: recruitment and retention, current issues & solutions, change management & communications support, talent management, Talk2Grow, individual development plan execution, employee opinion survey results plus team development plans, performance interventions, candidate selection, exit interviews & turnover analysis, job description development, new management orientation
  • Continuously review area organizational development and effectiveness. Assess and recommend improvements for the business to drive organizational efficiency, scalability and agility
  • Coach and consult employees on policy interpretation
  • Facilitate systematic talent management processes to understand and inform future workforce needs; identify gaps and recommends/develops plans to address, invest and optimize resources
  • Help managers and individual contributors develop leadership competencies. Recommends and implements plans to address future needs; create opportunities for talent to reach their full potential
  • Champion the Novo Nordisk Way
  • Execute local & corporate HR projects/programs such as employee surveys and workforce development effectively & efficiently
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other specialist duties: NNWay (modeling & teaching the values), training, promoting diversity and inclusion, training needs assessment, new employee orientation segments, meeting planning & co-facilitation
  • Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes
  • Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others. Consult with department leaders on their team’s talent management

 

Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required. While performing this job employee work involves sitting most of the time with walking and standing required only occasionally. This position may lift up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication.

 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in human resources or related field, MA/MS preferred, or an equivalent combination of education & experience
  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant HR generalist experience, with 5+ years preferably in a multi-shift manufacturing organization. Previous management experience a plus
  • General knowledge of relevant employment law, personnel policies & procedures best practices
  • Business and financial acumen
  • HRIT Systems knowledge & experience
  • Ability to adapt, navigate and lead through uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Strong communication skills, able to connect with diverse audiences, coach, mentor and lead crucial conversations
  • Demonstrated influential and critical thinking skills
  • Diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with facilitation and presentation

  • General understanding of Lean Manufacturing applications in the workplace
  • Organizational development programs execution, including: performance appraisal, individual development planning, staffing, problem resolution, future planning & organizational development, employee opinion survey response, etc.
  • Identifies & understands the customer (internal/external), the requirements, & the processes that generate products/services that meet customer requirements
  • Demonstrate a disciplined approach to decision making & problem solving that is based on data & facts & is consistent with the business goals & the Novo Nordisk Way

 

This is a Monday through Friday position and will be needed to work in office a minimum of 3 days per week.
