Average Hours per pay period: 56 every 2 weeks
- DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- A Registered Professional Nurse, who under the supervision of the Practice Supervisor, is responsible for:
- Providing excellent Nursing Care at all Immediate Care Centers as needed.
- maintaining competency
- being accountable for nursing practice
- exercising sound judgment
- accepting responsibility
- appropriately delegating tasks and seeking consultation
- handling emergency situations to provide excellent service to the patient, physicians, and occupants in the Diagnostic and Rehabilitative Center, Ridge Road Campus, and Yorkville campus.
- participating in monitoring the quality of service assuring that standards are being met to comply with safety, public health, OSHA and HFAP regulations
- participating in orientation and training of members of the Immediate Care team
- respecting an individual's right to privacy and confidentiality
- A Registered Professional Nurse, who under the supervision of the Practice Supervisor, is responsible for:
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
- Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse License with biennial renewal.
- Certified by the American Heart Association to the level of Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or attaining within one year of hire.
- Knowledge of trends and techniques in nursing.
- Certification in PALS, or within one year of hire.
- Willing to become certified in Audiometry, Breath Alcohol Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing and Drug Screen collection if requested.
- Excellent skills navigating the electronic information highway; embraces technology and skilled at computer usage.
- DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
