POSITION SUMMARY - LCSW

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Nursing with a specialty in Mental Health.Two (2) years supervised experience providing various behavioral health direct services performed at a satisfactory levelExperience in a cross-cultural setting, preferably with Native American culturesValid Driver’s License and provide a copy of current driving record.Must be able to pass a criminal background checkLicense Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), preferredWill accept with out of state license for start, but must apply for licensure and show proof of application prior to start date.Must have basic computer knowledge, and standard office equipment usage skills.Advanced written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in clinical assessment skills.26 week contracts preferred; will consider 13 weeks for the right candidate/skill setCredentialing file must be completed and submitted to YKHC no later than the Tuesday prior to candidate start date by 12PM AKST. Any delayed credentialing packets will result in assignment start date being rescheduled.
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT - 26 Weeks
SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK - Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week. Schedule to be discussed with Hiring Manager

Facility Location
Bethel is located west of Anchorage, Alaska and can only be accessed by water or air. It has a subarctic climate with long snowy cold winters and mild, short summers and is the main port and transportation hub for 56 villages in that area of Alaska. Annual events in Bethel include a Dogsled Race, a Fair in August and a Traditional Dance Festival in the Spring.
