Are you passionate about patient care and helping others? We have an exciting opportunity open for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at Lake Behavioral Hospital. This role offers the chance to work collaboratively with our health team members and under the direction of registered nurses. As a licensed practical nurse, you will provide nursing care in accordance with the nursing process and our standards of care and practices. Join us in our mission to provide exceptional psychiatric care to our patients.

Document patient information and changes in patient condition
Alert the RN of changes needing reassessment
Administer medication to patients
Utilize appropriate interventions in psychiatric and medical emergencies
Orient patients to treatment programs and monitor activity, encouraging participation
Use facility-approved CPI techniques

Your Experience Matters What were looking for:

Education & Licensure: Graduate from an accredited LPN program with an active license to practice in the state of Illinois.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year as a LPN in psychiatric nursing preferred, with six (6) months experience in the specialized are of psychiatry also, but not required.
Additional Skill Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of crisis intervention training including restraint and seclusion policies within 10 days of employment and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

Compensation:

Full-time and part-time positions are available, and the expected compensation range is $27.00 to $36.00 hourly. Were eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be givento experience and skill level. Join us as our Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)!

Schedule: 12-hour shifts 7:00pm 7:30am with rotating weekends
