Schedule: Monday - Friday (40 hours FT), Office open 8a-5p

Details:
Perform medicalexaminationand evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, minor surgical procedures, follow-up consultation and health education following clinical policies and procedures.
Identify,evaluateand address disease prevention and health promotion issues for patients while administering quality care.
Educatepatient and/or family about preventive care, medical issues, diagnosis and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications.
Requestpatient referrals for specialty services, labs and tests as necessary.
Maintainlegible, accurate and confidential medical records. Document all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment outcomes, education, referrals and consultations in compliance with state regulatory standards and clinic policies and procedures.
Performall duties in support of successful implementation to EHR/EPM.
Work in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff, which allow for consultation, collaboration or referral.
Providemedicalconsultation and back-up for mid-level practitioners, including review of 5% of charts for Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners. Back-up includes immediate electronic (cell phone, fax, email) or direct communication.
Patient Volume: 18-21 patients per day (top performing physicians assist 25-30 per day)
Patient Mix: Varies by location, but must be able to assist pediatric through geriatric.
Work flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, as necessary.
May have oversight of medical interns, NPs, and PAs.
Perm candidates considered.

Credentials: California license, BC/BE, DEA, ACLS
Compensation and Benefits: Travel, Housing and Medical Malpractice provided.
