• JOB SUMMARY
  
  
  • With a patient-centered culture, the Licensed Practical Nurse will -as directed by the RN and defined in the state's Scope of Practice-provide direct patient care, meeting the physical, age-specific, social, mental status, cultural and spiritual needs of the patients in accordance with department guidelines.
• POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  
  
  • Education
    
    
    • The incumbent must be a graduate from a school of nursing.
  • Licensure and Certifications
    
    
    • Current West Virginia license, which is renewed on a yearly basis.
    • Must possess BLS certification within the probationary period.
  • Experience
    
    
    • Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and instruct patients and their families
    • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and adapt to each provider.
    • Experience using EHR
    • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
