LVN
Position Summary:
The LVN assists the physician and mid-level practitioners in providing quality care as delegated. This individual is also cross-trained to assist in clerical tasks and phlebotomy.
Qualifications:
A. Education:
Holds a current Texas permit or license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
B. Training and Experience:
1. Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association upon hire or transfer to department.
2. Minimum of six months experience working as an LVN preferred; one year of experience in an ambulatory setting preferred. Bilingual abilities desirable but not mandatory.
Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
A. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
B. Potential exposure to hazardous substances, cytotoxic agents and disease.
C. May have varied work hours.
D. Sustained standing and walking.
