We are looking for a thoughtful, innovative, and community-minded leader who is interested in overseeing competent, compassionate, full-spectrum family medicine providers with our residency clinic.
As the Clinical Operations Manager you will partner with executive director and execute on our strategic plan emphasizing the success of our 3 year residency program. Your high priority will be clinic schedule optimization, patient access, block time utilization, and APP practice model optimization.
Kootenai Clinic Family Medicine Residency of Coeur d'Alene Idaho is a three-year residency program affiliated with the University of Washington Family Medicine Residency Network. Kootenai fully participates with national leaders in family medicine, rural practice and patient-centered medical care.
An unopposed ACGME accredited program, Kootenai is the only family medicine residency in North Idaho and among only a handful of residencies in the state. While cultivating professional growth in residency is time consuming, we're fortunate to call Coeur d'Alene home. When work is done we are able to enjoy a robust community as well as the mountains and lakes that surround us.
Responsibilities
• Translates strategic directives into tactical initiatives, leading performance improvement activities across multi-disciplinary teams
• Maintains excellent relationships with providers by proactively communicating issues
• Works with cross-functional teams within the organization to deliver operational and clinical excellence within budgetary boundaries
• Provides direction for clinic supervisors, staff, and physicians
• Monitors the day-to-day operations of the clinics and services
• Responsible for ensuring that high quality, safe patient care is given and that there is economical and efficient performance
• Collaborates with other practice managers to ensure standardized practice meets regulatory requirements
• Responsible for developing and monitoring overall budget and the ongoing financial management of assigned areas
• Uses analytic skills to assess trends and improvement opportunities to implement new programs to maintain/improve patient volumes and access to care
• Prepares business cases to support provider and staff recruitment
• Encourages and supports outreach activities
• Leads and directs the work of others
• A high degree of creativity and latitude is required
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration/management, nursing leadership or business related field required, or in progress with expected completion within 2 years of hire
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a healthcare administrative setting required
• Broad and intensive knowledge of hospital administrative and allied health practices to include knowledge of the clinical program development, revenue cycle management, and marketing and performance improvement
