Position Details
- Hours: Flexible 24-40 hours/week, with 10-20% of time in clinic.
- Location: Winters Healthcare, Yolo County.
- Goal: Enhance patient care through the pilot of Advanced Payment Methodology starting July 1, 2024.

Your Role: Key Responsibilities
As our Medical Director (MD/DO), you will play a pivotal role in shaping our approach to care:
- Clinical Leadership: Collaborate with leadership, operations, and clinical teams to ensure that our services meet the highest standards of quality and continuity. Your empathetic leadership style will encourage input from others, fostering a culture of innovation and effective strategies.
- Direct Patient Care: Dedicate 4-8 hours per week to providing clinical care across diverse patient demographics, from pediatric to adult primary care, chronic disease management, and prenatal care (preferred). Your direct engagement will enrich our understanding of patient needs.
- Collaborative Mindset: Work closely with organizational leaders, operations teams, diverse providers, and external partners. By fostering open dialogue and teamwork, you will enhance collaboration across medical, behavioral health, and administrative staff.
- Strategic Leadership: Lead initiatives that align our services with organizational goals, promoting team growth and satisfaction while driving our mission forward.
- Commitment to Continuous Improvement: Embrace feedback and implement changes that enhance patient care and team effectiveness, ensuring we are always striving for excellence.
- Mentorship and Development: Support the growth and development of clinicians and care teams, fostering an environment of professional collaboration and continuous learning.

What We're Looking For:
We are seeking an individual who embodies the following qualifications:
- Current MD or DO license, with a California license required upon hire.
- Experience in clinical leadership within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or Community Health Center (CHC), with a proven track record of leading teams and monitoring quality improvement outcomes. Experience with medical director administrative functions is a plus!
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical practices and standards, particularly in community health settings.
- A Master of Public Health (MPH) is highly desirable.
- Ability to assess and improve quality in patient care, developing innovative work methods and procedures.
- A passion for mentoring and supporting clinicians, with the ability to analyze data to address care gaps.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred, with at least basic Spanish terminology required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base Compensation range: $230,000 - $290,000 - for FT (40 hours), plus full benefits
- Signing and commitment bonus: $35,000 for 3-year commitment (1.0 FTE)
- Eligible candidates may receive an additional $100,000 commitment bonus from (1.0 FTE) Partnership Health Plan of CA (PHP), if they are outside of the current 24 PHP counties.
- Relocation allowance available
- Covered insurances include Medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D - 100% covered for employee plus contribution towards dependent coverage
