Typical Work Schedule: Days (7-8 shifts per pay period and every 6th weekend; rotating holidays)

SUMMARY
Performs test on patient specimens using techniques in chemistry, hematology, serology, immunology, bacteriology, and immunohematology to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease and to prepare blood products for transfusion.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science required. Or, must otherwise meet personnel requirements as outlined in Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment.
2. Applicants must be a certified Medical Technologist or Medical Technician by ASCP or other nationally recognized accrediting agency. Or, applicant must achieve certification within the first 12 months of employment.
3. Must be able to pass color discrimination test.
4. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance and an FBI criminal history check required.
