Medical Technologist (Immunology)

Job Summary: Are you passionate about medical science and eager to make a difference? As a Medical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients by performing a variety of laboratory tests in the Immunology department. Your expertise will help us ensure accurate and timely results, contributing to the overall health and well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sample Collection & Preparation: Skillfully collect and prepare biological samples for testing.
  • Laboratory Testing: Conduct a wide range of tests on blood, urine, and other body fluids using both manual and automated techniques.
  • Result Analysis: Analyze test results with precision and report findings to medical staff promptly.
  • Equipment Management: Operate, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control checks and troubleshoot any issues to ensure reliable test results.
  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to established protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a safe laboratory environment.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all test procedures and results.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and select appropriate tests.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in laboratory testing and medical technology.



Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
  • Certification: Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent) is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of solid experience in a regulated clinical laboratory setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using laboratory equipment and performing assigned testing procedures (Immunology - Electrophoresis, ELISA, IFA, Phadia & Liaison testings)
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
