MLT - Automated Chemistry

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician - Automated Chemistry to join Q2 Solutions, IQVIA's laboratory business at Valencia, CA.

Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Job Summary:

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine analysis and laboratory testing procedures while ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.

What you'll be doing:

• Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct routine data analysis, identifying errors or unusual results, and escalating to senior lab personnel.
• Prepare data analysis results for upload to the LIMS system under senior staff guidance.
• Assist in quality investigations, deviations, and resolution.
• Prepare buffers and solutions for analysis.
• Guide entry-level staff on routine procedures and support onboarding of new staff.
• Perform calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as assigned.
• Notify inventory staff of supply shortages.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or cytotechnology).
• Minimum of 6 months experience in a regulated laboratory environment (preferred).
• Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques and basic knowledge of assigned technical area.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control procedures, and hazardous chemical handling.
• Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this role:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirements (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on tasks; occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $52,300.00 - $87,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
