As an Evaluating Occupational Therapist, the critical mentorship and guidance of Occupational Therapy Assistants fosters their professional growth and opportunities to experience more of the reward of helping people in our community achieve their care goals. Conducting assessments and evaluations for existing and incoming clients ensures that pediatric and/or geriatric patients are placed on the most efficient and effective paths to receiving the care they need. Through this leadership, patient outcomes are improved, and the overall quality of care is elevated.
Occupational Therapist Evaluator Requirements & Responsibilities:
1+ years Occupational Therapist experience
1+ years Supervisor experience
Current Occupational Therapist license in New York
Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
Utilize a variety of techniques, including exercise, stretching, and manual therapy to promote patient recovery and rehabilitation
Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, pain management strategies, and preventative measures to prevent future injuries.
Servicing/Supervising both Pediatrics and Geriatrics
In-person in the field for both evaluations and recertification visits
Supervising 4 Occupational Therapy Assistants
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Amenable to consistent travel throughout their working location
