POSITION SUMMARY:
Sign-on bonus starting at $6,000!
Plans, evaluate and administers physical therapy services and care to patients upon physician's orders. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as, Health System initiatives. Coordinates family involvement in assessment and treatment of the patient. Responsible for both inpatients and outpatients as needed.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (or foreign equivalent as determined by the State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation). Participates in educational programs on an ongoing basis and complete mandatory CEUs as required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current license from the State of Illinois or in the process of acquiring licensure. An applicant for employment as a physical, occupational, or speech therapist must present acceptable evidence of licensure or authorization to test at the time of employment. An applicant who fails to provide this documentation will not be hired. A new employee will not be allowed to work as a therapist until evidence of licensure eligibility is provided. CPR certification required.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in a caring, considerate and concerned manner. Willingness to accept responsibility. Ability to direct ancillary staff and organize work assignments. Leadership skills essential to the position. Must be skilled in a broad range of modalities with a clear understanding of indications and contraindicating of each. Familiar with the indications and use of equipment. Guides, teaches, and supervises students.
