Patient Hospitality and Transport Specialist
BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Community Relations Manager the Patient Hospitality and Transport Specialist transports inpatients and outpatients to and from a variety of departments and clinical locations including but not limited to inpatient and swing beds (Med/Surg), Perioperative Services, Diagnostic Imaging, Rehabilitative Services, Clinics, Laboratory etc. The ideal candidate conducts transportation in a manner that ensures a positive experience for patients, guests and family members. Other responsibilities include retrieving office supplies, departmental supplies, patient supplies and other items and equipment as instructed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Loads and unloads equipment and passengers between various destinations as assigned.
- Prepares, receives and distributes appropriate documentation for the delivery and pickup of individuals to ensure timely and accurate transportation.
- Signs in visitors, directs and escorts patients to available registrars and appropriate areas.
- Provides information and materials as appropriate, greeting all individuals to ensure positive first impressions upon entering facilities.
- Assists in developing additional services to enhance visitors' experiences and may oversee volunteers assigned to customer service area.
- Clerical duties include but are not limited answering calls and operating a multi-line phone system, generating and answering professional correspondence in a variety of formats and processing departmental mail.
- Other job related duties might be assigned or removed from this position as dictated by operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant License in the State of Colorado preferred.
- All required certifications must maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
- Prefer two years' experience in patient care.
- Must have current BLS card upon hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
SALARY INFORMATION:
- $17.50 - $23.00 Dependent on experience may vary outside this range
- Additional $2.00 - $4.00 an hour for additional weekend and night shifts
- Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
