Pediatric Psychologist Career Opportunity Abroad!

Sterling Medical is seeking a skilled Pediatric Psychologist to provide services at a U.S. Naval Air Stating in Bahrain. This exciting career opportunity is working with U.S. Military children and their families within the EDIS program. The EDIS program is designed to provide early intervention to children birth-3 years of age. 

 

Services will be provided to patients 0 to 36 months of age and, upon request of the MTF clinic supervisor, older patients up to 21, and their families, in accordance with standards established by Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), applicable MTF standards, and standards of the American Board applicable to employee’s specialty.

Services provided by Clinical Child Psychologist will include developmental screenings, diagnostic and treatment services, family training and counseling for children and their families. Service settings may include the children’s homes, child care centers, schools and other military community settings. Functions will also include child-find activities, and community awareness and education programs.

The majority of services may be requested to be performed within the child’s natural environment. Upon request, Clinical Child Psychologist will also provide technical assistance, consultation, staff training, and quality assurance, upon request by the Government to Magnum Medical Overseas.

 

Qualifications:

1. Possess a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional School.

2. Successful completion of a psychologist intern program which has been approved by the APA.

3. Shall possess at least two consecutive years of direct experience during the past four years administering and assessing the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) exam in the diagnosis of Autism.

4. At least two years of general experience with pediatric clients and at least one year within the past five years specializing with the age group (0-3),this can include experience gained during practicum, internship or clinical fellowship year (CFY) as part of a degree program.

5. Possess and maintain a valid, U.S. unrestricted license
