Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Outpatient and School Based Services (FT - Days)

Description

• Will have the task of meeting the speech therapy needs of ESH's community which may include inpatient, outpatient, outpatient pediatric, swing bed, home health and school settings.
• Responsible for the care, safety, and wellbeing of patients during treatment sessions.
• Extent of skill and care demonstrated in the treatment and management of patients.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and develop plan of care for patients establishing goals of treatment and plan for discharge; taking into consideration the patients' needs and limitations.
• Consults with attending physician concerning the patient's needs and limitations, goals, plan of care, progress, and discharge plans.
• Reimbursed for any travel related patient care activities.
• Perform daily documentation of each patient's progress and challenges.
• Maintains department records properly and completes them correctly.
• Provide patients and caregivers with educational material as appropriate.
• Perform monthly comprehensive summaries and weekly goal updates on each patient.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Speech Language Pathology license required.
• Prefer LSVT-LOUD certification, but not required.
• Experience with video swallow studies required.
