Physical Therapist

POSITION SUMMARY:

Physical Therapist will accurately evaluate, differentially diagnose, identify deficits in a patient's functional mobility and activities in their daily lives, develop an individualized treatment plan with patient-centered goals of pain management, prevention of complications and loss of mobility, maximize functional return and arrive at an appropriate discharge disposition.

In-patient Physical therapy at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital with Stroke Certification is focused on facilitating early mobility, with emphasis on safe patient handling and quality of care, reducing hospital-induced deconditioning and rate of re-admission through comprehensive care including patient education, family training, patient specific discharge planning, and establishing appropriate continuum of care. Acute care Therapists serve all areas from the Emergency Department through the Intensive Care Units, Med-Surg, and OBG units.

Outpatient Physical therapy supports several dynamic specialties including Neurologic rehabilitation including Stroke, Spinal cord injuries, Vestibular rehabilitation, LSVT BIG for Parkinson's, Balance, and Safety impairments, Orthopedic and Sports rehabilitation following injuries and surgeries with emphasis on Manual therapy, and Comprehensive hand rehabilitation.

The therapist will work alongside a multifaceted team comprised of seasoned Therapists, mid-career clinicians, and recent graduates, offering our patients years of clinical expertise and the most current evidence-based treatment approaches. Across our system, we care for a diverse patient population, providing us the ability to become a well-rounded clinician while maintaining one-on-one therapist to patient care ratios. The Joint Venture partnership of San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Outpatient Physical Therapy with Loma Linda Health system offers the therapists the unique opportunity to serve the community fulfilling the Missions and Visions of both the organizations with a wholesome approach.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited program of physical therapy, or foreign trained Physical therapy with State Board Licensure.
  • Current California Board of Physical Therapy licensure.
  • BLS certification.


Preferred:

  • One year of physical therapist experience. New grads welcome, with interest in both Acute care and outpatient care.
  • Three years recent clinical expertise in areas of concentration, highly preferred.
  • Certification in LSVT BIG, Proficiency in Vestibular rehabilitation, preferred, but not required. Willingness for training and becoming proficient is highly favored.
  • Orthopedic manual therapy skills is highly preferred, and willingness to be trained to become proficient is recommended.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates appropriate application of age specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines in caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards to ensure adherence to all standards set forth by state and accrediting agencies of TJC and CMS.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures, and utilizes proper policies, procedures, and guidelines in caring for patients.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of treatment costs and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in computer and technical skills to facilitate dynamic learning and educational opportunities.

• Estimated pay is based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable).
