Physician Assistant - Breast Care

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides acute and comprehensive health care to patients in various states of health or illness. PAs practice medicine within their scope of practice based on their education, training and experience. PAs collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed to provide care to patients.

EDUCATION:

Successful completion of PA educational program at an institution accredited by ARC-PA (Accreditation and Review Commission on Education for the PA.) bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred. Current NCCPA Board Certification required and active licensure to practice as PA by the VT Board of Medical Practice.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience as a PA (physician assistant) in a surgical department with breast cancer care desired.

  • Surgical
  • Punch Biopsies
  • Draining Seromas
  • Draining fluid collections
  • Cyst Aspirations
  • Post Operative Patients
  • Independently seeing breast cancer follow up patients
