Job Description
The Physician Provider Recruiter supports the growth of a major health system by assisting the in-house Physician Recruitment Manager and Physician Recruitment Team in a fast paced, high energy environment while strengthening the company's image as the employer of choice. This will be achieved through the development of local and regional recruiting plans, advancing positive experiences and outcomes, developing new and creative recruitment ideas. A wide degree of creativity, short and long-term recruiting vision, strong ability to multi-task and personal organization are essential. Candidates should possess an outgoing people-orientation disposition that will allow them to facilitate relationships with hiring managers, practice teams and candidates. Excellent communication, outstanding customer service and strong evaluation skills are a must. Position requires discretion as confidential information will be handled on a continuous basis.
Performance Standards
Maintain excellent working relationship with Physician Recruitment Team, Hiring Managers, Directors, as well as Executive and Senior Management System Wide, Recruitment Team, Leased and Private Practices and applicants. Sourcing and full interview cycle focus for designated system Physician openings and APP Recruitment identified positions.
Meet with Hiring/Offices Manager to gather detailed information on open position; Create Advertising Ads for open positions; posting to targeted venues with updates/featured exposure and sourcing via candidate databases.
Build applicant pool utilizing recruitment tools; JobVite, Practice Match, Career Builders, recruitment sites, referrals, advertising, cold calls, etc. Screen candidates, present top candidate to Hiring Managers - working with applicant, hiring team and recruitment coordinator to secure phone and in-person interviews. Identify interviewing panel and collaborate with Physician Recruitment Coordinator to craft an interview plan, greet candidates during site visit and escort to meetings and make introductions to team.
Liaison between hiring manager and applicant keeping all engaged and abreast of updates and next steps with responsibility in gathering timely decisions following interviews. Lead and participate in recruitment meetings with hiring team; prepare Term Sheets/offers and send for approval. Present and review term sheets/offers, benefit package, CME and PTO policy, (relocation bonus and sign-on bonus to include repayment clause if applicable) to applicant and answer question. Oversight and liaison in applicant negotiations. Work with and provide contract information to Compliance for drafting.
Manage final negotiations, update to compliance and recruitment team to start the electronic signature process; provide all information needed to start onboarding process.
Prepare monthly recruitment reports for Executive Leadership Team and for SR VP to incorporate in VH Board Reports. Create and Keep updated files/records on applicants hired and not hired using ATS.
Work with Locum Agencies on an as needed basis for hard to fill specialty positions and communicate locums with Physician Recruitment Manager for oversight. Arrange leadership/physician screening of locums and initiate coverage confirmation. Alert teams to begin onboarding.
Oversight for JobVite Maintenance; verifying positions/requisitions have been posted correctly (replacement, new position, etc.) and have been approved prior to hiring, working with hiring manager, HR Team, Recruitment Team and Management to confirm and correct. Collect initial reference checks on interviewing candidates, obtain NPDB self-query from interviewing candidates and update all teams on vetting process and any outstanding items in this checklist
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Associates Degree or equivalent in business, human resources, social sciences, or related field OR minimum of 5 years recruitment/human resource experience required
Experience
Four plus years of previous office experience required with recruitment or human resources support preferred.
Qualifications
Excellent computer knowledge with prior MS Office experience required. Must be exceptional in spelling, grammar, and punctuation with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Accuracy a must. Requires critical judgment skills regarding organizational needs and ability to communicate effectively on a wide range of levels, including superior grammar and proofreading skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results. Ability to maintain confidentiality is mandatory. Knowledge of operations, medical terminology, and the community.
