Our Research Laboratories' Postdoctoral Research Fellow Program aims to be a best-in-industry program for industrial postdoctoral researchers, designed to provide you with an academic focus in a commercial environment. Responsibilities:
- Apply data analytic solutions to aid vaccine adjuvant selection and design.
- Interacts with people with diverse background and expertise, including vaccines and pharmacology scientists and IT specialists, and other teams in our Research & Development Division.
Primary activities:
- Gather and analyze OMICs data from in-House and public adjuvant comparison experiments.
- Participate in design and execution of OMICs experiments to enhance datasets in a multidisciplinary team of vaccine experts, bioinformaticians, and pharmacologists.
- Develop AI methods for vaccine adjuvant selection.
- Develops software programs, algorithms, and automated processes.
- Applies and implements various data analytic techniques and methods.
- Orally presents and prepares written reports to effectively communicate analysis results to audience with diverse background and expertise.
- Is involved in research activities for innovative vaccine adjuvant methods.
Education Minimum Requirement:
Candidates must currently hold a PhD OR receive a PhD within one year preferably in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Virology, Data Science, Virology or related discipline.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Solid knowledge of transcriptome analysis and vaccine adjuvants.
- Demonstrated strong programming skills, especially in perl, and/or Python, and/or R.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to function well both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated interest in data analytic methodology research and in application of novel methods to real-world problems.
- Ability to collaborate with scientists and work on multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of various Machine Learning methods, including deep learning
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Knowledge of generating, processing, and analyzing large and complex data generated by modern life science technologies.
