Primary Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments.
  • Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses and chronic conditions.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
  • Prescribe medications and other therapies as needed.
  • Provide patient education on disease prevention, health promotion, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Manage chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, with a focus on patient empowerment and self-management.
  • Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Adhere to clinical practice guidelines and standards of care to ensure high-quality, safe, and effective patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure with concentration in Family Medicine or Physician Assistant licensure.
  • Primary Care experience of 1 year required.
  • Significant complex problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional ability to care for others and engage in leadership functions in areas related to healthcare.
  • Comfortable working independently.



Position Type

  • Full-time
  • Hourly
  • Works Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Work Environment - operates in a clinic environment.



Physical Demands

The physical essential functions of this job include (but are not limited to) the following: Frequently exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects; occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work.
