Psychiatric Nurse - New Mexico

Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse

Job Location: New Mexico

Type of Facility: Recovery Treatment Center

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Start Date: Immediately

Work Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7p-7a), flexibility required

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide independent nursing care in an 8-room, 30-bed inpatient facility

- Conduct shift change/handoff huddles at the beginning of each shift

- Coordinate client care with rotating providers

- Manage scheduled intakes and new admissions

- Perform full evaluations, medication management, and physicals

- Deliver client education

- Work alongside MAs, CNAs, and techs

- Utilize InSync EMR system for documentation

- Assist in the treatment of alcohol and substance abuse disorders

- Handle UV lines in the on-site lab room

- Collaborate with providers for suboxone and Librium prescriptions

Requirements:

- Valid New Mexico RN license or Compact license

- 2-3 years of psychiatric nursing experience

- BLS certification

- Experience with alcohol and substance abuse treatment

- Flexibility to work night shifts and potential overtime
