Psychiatric Physician Associate/Nurse Practitioner

Rogue Community Health is looking to add a full-time, dynamic, mission-driven Psychiatric Physician Associate/Nurse Practitionerto our Medford Behavioral Health team. In collaboration and as part of a multidisciplinary patient care team, provide integrated and culturally respectful patient care including consultation, diagnostic, preventative, educational, and therapeutic mental health services, psychiatric evaluations, and medication management to our patients. Within the scope of practice, utilize professional skills in diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic health problems for a patient panel. Our care teams provide additional services including integrated health and wellness, behavioral and mental health, and addiction recovery. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for serving our patient population.

Licensure:

  • Current unencumbered Oregon license to practice as a Physician Associate or current unencumbered Oregon nursing license.
  • Current DEA Number
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification



Psychiatric Physician Associate: Graduate of an accredited Physician Associate (Assistant) program. Minimum two years as a mental health Physician Assistant serving uninsured / underinsured and minority patients preferred.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Successful completion of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) program with emphasis in psychiatric care (Nurse Practitioner Certificate or master's degree). Minimum two years' experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner serving a combination of insured, under insured, and uninsured patients preferred.

  • Ability to report to work as scheduled and willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends when necessary.

  • Excellent customer service, critical thinking, and time management skills.
  • Spanish language skills are highly desirable.
