Avance Psychiatry, a part of Avance Care, PA, located in Davidson, NC, is dedicated to cutting-edge, research-based treatments for psychiatric conditions in adults, adolescents, and children. Avance Psychiatry stands out in the psychiatric community for its focus on an integrated approach to the treatment of psychiatric disorders, which includes collaboration with behavioral therapists, primary care, and other specialists as warranted. This position is co-located within our Davidson Family Practice and provides Psychiatric coverage to our surrounding clinics.
Avance Psychiatry is led by a team of experienced and respected physicians and psychiatrists with expertise in clinical care, research, and education in General Psychiatry, Addictions, Medical Pain, Treatment Resistant Disorders, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. We espouse rational, patient centered care, which incorporates pharmacology, behavioral therapy, family involvement, and specialized care, as needed. Targeted treatments, such as buprenorphine, Spravato and others are utilized as appropriate. Ongoing research at the clinic affords us the opportunity to stay on the leading edge of psychiatric care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a passion for comprehensive and patient centered psychiatric care
- Demonstrate a record of leading clinical change
- Demonstrate clinical proficiency, strategic development, understanding of medical practice operations, including leading a first-rate clinical practice
- Demonstrate excellent supervisory, managerial, and leadership skills, including, but not limited to, team cohesion, excellent patient care and experience, and effective fiscal management of the operation
- Support CMO in clinical and administrative services, promote quality initiatives across the Avance Care footprint
- Drive a culture of clinical standardization and organizational development
- Supervise Avance Practice Providers as needed
- Build teams, collaborate, establish responsibilities and accountability, lead through partnership
- Ability to lead team(s) to grow the psychiatry practice to financial independence
- Have a working knowledge of the economics of running a practice
- Experience with virtual health delivery and operations
Description:
- Full-time Outpatient Monday to Friday, 40hrs per week position with no on call or weekend hours or open to part-time work.
- Occasional travel to surrounding Avance Practices for Psychiatry coverage needs.
- Supported by Medical Assistants and Patient Coordinators
- Includes patients with psychiatric conditions
- Work in an integrated system with practitioners in primary care, neurology, addiction, MAT, interventional psychiatry, child psychiatry and over 60 behavioral therapists
- Patient load includes a hybrid of in person and telehealth
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Physician
- Practicing Physician with a minimum of 5 years of experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as professional journals, safety rules, procedure manuals, and government regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, effectively
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clinic staff, providers, clients, customers, and the general publications
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to think logically in order to troubleshoot, analyze situations, make independent decisions and delegate responsibility and duties
- Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail systems, and web-based programs
- Possess strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
