StartDate: 08/21/2023Available Shifts: 12 D/N Pay Rate: $1687.00 - 1859.00

Surgical Intensive Care Unit is a 24 bed ICU that provides support for the critically ill surgical and/or trauma patient; this ICU is a crucial part of our Level One Trauma Center. The critically ill trauma patient includes approximately 75% of the patients admitted to the SICU. Common diagnoses include, but are not limited to, severe sepsis, multi system trauma injuries, organ transplant, respiratory failure, acute renal failure, and multisystem organ failure. The patient population within SICU will include but is not limited to:

Critically ill and injured multi-system trauma (including neuro trauma)
Additional patient populations admitted to the SICU for critical care and monitoring include: Surgical oncology, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, OB/GYN, renal and pancreas transplant recipients, and organ donor patients including brain death donation and donation after cardiac death.
SICU is a closed ICU in which the Trauma Critical Care Physician admits all patients 24/7.
SICU has achieved the GOLD - Beacon Award for Excellence through the American Association of Critical Care.

Required Qualifications
Years of Experience: 1. BLS, ACLS
Surgical experience
Tertiary care experience
Level I or II experience
NC or compact lic

Preferred Qualifications
2 years experience
Travel experience
EPIC
