Respiratory Therapist PRN
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff Therapist level I provide a full range of respiratory care to the adult patient population, as evidenced by the skill/competency assessment. Ensures the prompt and proficient provision of respiratory-related duties in accordance with physician directives. Complies with departmental and University Health's policies and procedures and maintains good public and working relations
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree or associate's degree is preferred. The current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and an active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license with the Texas State Board of Health are required. Must be BLS certified. ACLS Preferred. Instructor certification for BLS is acceptable in lieu of BLS.
