Job Summary:

The RN performs under the direct supervision of the Patient Care Coordinator and is delegated an assignment by the coordinator to achieve quality patient care. The RN Staff Nurse shall implement the nursing process in an organized, systematic manner to include assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in collaboration with the Patient Care Coordinator as evidenced by documentation in Patient Care Record, direct observation, and patient evaluations of care. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed. Completes the care plan progress note every shift. Performs Medication Reconciliation Process and Patient education requirements on admission, discharge and as needed. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to administer blood, administer IV medications via (CVP, EJ, PIV, PICC, Midline, and port), wound care with dressing changes, and blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration.

  • Demonstrates the aptitude to navigate the electronic medical record and complete documentation.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the care plan process and their responsibility of documentation.


Qualifications:

Education/Skills

Graduate of a recognized non-online RN program required.

Work Experience:

One year medical-surgical nursing care preferred.

Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE

  • Certified Nurse Aid Certificate


Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below

  • Basic Life Support
