RN, ICU Break Nurse

Responsibilities:

As a Break Nurse you will work 8-hour shifts, relieving other registered nurses during break and meal periods - providing essential coverage across multiple units. You'll have the unique opportunity to focus on the continuum of care of numerous patients, all while part of a team that emphasizes professional and personal growth.

Qualifications:

Education
• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience
• Consistent demonstration of competent clinical nursing practice proficiency required

Licenses and Certifications
• RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

CHS HealthStream Course
• BAC - Basic Arrhythmia Course required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position
o NIHSS - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Exam required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position
o The following is required for departments:

- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job
