Southtowns Care Center, a premier long term skilled nursing facility located in Erie County, New York is looking to hire experienced full-time RN Unit Managers. Unit Manager Responsibilities
Ø DUTIES:
o Maintains nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
o Completes Resident care requirements by scheduling and assigning nurses and staff
o Establishes a compassionate environment by providing support to Residents and families.
o Provides information to Residents and health care team.
o Maintains safe and clean working environment.
o Maintains Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.
o Maintains documentation of Resident care services.
o Maintains nursing supplies inventory
o Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams
o Develops an individualized comprehensive care plan
o Maintains timely documentation of patients
o Maintains supervision of staff and facility
o Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identities any issues that affect desired resident outcomes
o Assess, review, and maintain that daily resident care needs are met, and appropriate resident care is given.
o Address resident and staff concerns to promote quality care.
o Supervise staff nurses and CNAs to ensure their completion and quality of duties.
o Make rounds of resident rooms to observe and evaluate resident’s physical/emotional state.
o Review order and care plans.
o Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
o Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Requirements
· Valid, current RN license
· Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures, and/or terminology, laws, regulations, and the guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
· At least one-year experience in a supervisory capacity in a long-term care facility.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
