WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Schedule will be Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm.
• Schedules surgeries, appointments, tests, and procedures specific to their physician practice in person or by phone, using Electronic Health Record; coordinates external vendors, multiple physicians, and surgery locations as required.
• Maintains the scheduling system including maintain physician-specific schedules and coordinating with schedulers at the surgery site for time and physician-specific preferences. Verifies records are accurate and complete.
• Coordinates insurance including verification of coverage, obtaining prior authorizations and educating the patient on benefits and out of pocket amounts.
• Requests and verifies receipt of medical records, test results, and clearances for surgeries/procedures.
• Calls patients on the patient recall list for follow-ups and mails recall letters to patients.
• Processes refills through incoming calls, electronic requests or faxes, and sends to the nurse or provider for approval.
• Provides back-up coverage to other non-clinical positions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required High School Diploma/GED
• 1 year Physician Office Required
